Understanding Your Trust Score

The Cameroon Marketplace Trust Score is a number from 0 to 100 that tells buyers and sellers how trustworthy and established your account is. A higher score unlocks more features and helps you close deals faster.

How points are earned

Your score is calculated automatically and updates whenever you complete one of the following actions. You can earn up to 80 points today — the remaining 20 are reserved for criteria we will introduce in future updates.

Verify your phone number

Link your Telegram account via Settings and tap “Share Contact” on mobile. Telegram guarantees the number is real and belongs to you.

Complete Basic verification

Upload a government-issued ID (national ID card, driver's licence, or passport) to the Verification Centre. An admin reviews and approves it.

Complete Identity verification

In addition to your ID, record a short selfie video so our team can confirm the ID belongs to you. This replaces the Basic +15 and grants full “Verified” status.

Complete Business verification

Upload your business registration documents. This is the highest verification level and replaces Identity verification. It unlocks your public shop page and business badge.

Complete 5 or more deals

Automatically awarded once you have 5 successfully closed transactions on the platform. This shows you are an active, experienced participant.

Maintain an average rating of 4.5★ or higher

Your rating is the average of all reviews left by other users after completed deals. Consistently excellent service keeps this bonus active.

Yes. The score is recalculated automatically the moment any contributing field changes — for example, when an admin approves your verification or when you close your 5th deal.

Yes. If your average rating drops below 4.5★ the rating bonus is removed. If an admin reverts your verification level the corresponding points are also removed. Your score always reflects your current standing.

We have reserved 20 points for future criteria — such as verified email, high response rate, and dispute win rate. Early members who already reached 80 will benefit automatically when these are released.

No. Identity and business verification on Cameroon Marketplace is free. The only requirement is that your documents are valid and legible.
